AC Milan claim Man Utd and Chelsea target is ‘too expensive’

AC Milan Director of Football Massimiliano Mirabelli talked to Radio Rossonera on Thursday night. The rossoneri director was not only asked about the future of Conte and Andrea Belotti but also about a few young players AC Milan want to buy like Pietro Pellegri and Eddy Salcedo.

Pellegri, 16, is also being linked with Manchester United, Chelsea and Juventus.

“They are two very promising players but it’s hard to buy from Genoa. They signed Lapadula in the summer and they made a big investment maybe they need to get some cash back now, that’s why Salcedo and Pellegri are so expensive....”

Pellegri’s price-tag is close to € 40 million and his agent Beppe Riso has recently compared him to Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Mirabelli also talked about a ‘dream’ of some rossoneri fans, which is to see Cristiano Ronaldo play for AC Milan one day. “Mendes is one of the best managers in the world and we are on very good terms with him. Many players want to come and player for AC Milan but we need to remain with our feet grounded. Ronaldo is like a company, he is an example of professionalism for every other player and he always wants to win.”
