AC Milan legend Gattuso has ‘a proposal’ for Silvio Berlusconi

AC Milan president Silvio Berlusconi turns 80 today and La Gazzetta dello Sport has interviewed one of the rossoneri legends Gennaro Gattuso, who is serving as Serie B side Pisa manager today.

“I remember he was always moaning for my looks, he wanted me to shave, but we’ve always been on good terms. Berlusconi was my doping; when he arrived at Milanello he was able to give us massive charge. I’ll never forget his speech before the Champions League final against Juventus.”

“He has an incredible charisma; he was able to communicate with words and with his style. He knew everything about us, but I’ve never understood who he was getting the information from. If I had a problem he came to Milanello asking me if I had solved it, leaving me stunned.”

“I like staring at people in the eyes, but sometimes I had to look down when I was talking to him.”

“That AC Milan was a perfect machine. It was a bit like a family and a bit like a company. Berlusconi used to pick men before footballers, which made the difference.”

“He taught me that linking strength and intelligence you can get amazing results.”

“I have no gift for him for his birthday, being healthy is all that matters now. However, I have an idea. He can come to Pisa and work as my assistant. He’d help me on the pitch and would be a great motivator. Do you think he could accept?”
