Juve, Allegri: 'Result is all that matters’

Max Allegri was happy for Juventus’ 2-1 over Sporting Lisbon yesterday night although he admitted to be aware that the Old Lady’s need to improve in terms of quality. “We are not brilliant because we have lot of injured and we need to make sacrifices. Higuain played well, I am happy for him and for the other players because they wanted to win until the end. It’s never easy to win in Champions League but we can’t be satisfied, we have to reconnect.”

“A new season will start in November. There will be one last International break and many of our players will be involved. We made too many technical mistakes in the opening 20 minutes and we ran a huge risk in the final minutes. Result, however, is all that matters.”

“I am not worried about the defensive solidity, they scored because we made five single technical mistakes, we couldn’t stop the ball and Alex Sandro made a mistake too. We must improve our physical condition but we can only improve with trainings. We didn’t play well, it was important to win and we did it.”
