Allegri slams Conte over Juve wins, says he ‘did nothing’ to keep Pogba

Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri has released a very interesting interview with Sky Italia talking about his managerial career as well as his three-year spell at Juventus.

The Italian was asked his thoughts on Juventus’ wins under Antonio Conte and his answers are going to create some controversies: “When I joined Juventus I knew the team had still a lot to give. Conte did well but the club has to be praised for their wins, one single manage can’t do everything on his own. I knew that Juventus side could do better, especially in Europe...”

Allegri did also talk about Pogba’s switch to Manchester United: “Paul is an amazing player because he can combine his stunning technical skills with his physical strength. I did nothing to keep him here because when the club informed me about the figures, there was nothing I could say.”

Allegri replaced Antonio Conte at Juventus in summer 2014 and coached Pogba for three years in Turin.
