ANALYSIS: who could join and who will leave AC Milan
Calciomercato.com’s reporter Federico Albrizio has tried to analyze the most concrete options for the rossoneri.
The midfield will be the sector regarding which the Lombard club will be particularly active, despite the good moment of Andrea Bertolacci and Juraj Kucka: Zenit St. Petersburg 27-year-old Axel Witsel remains Milan’s dream, but the evaluation remains extremely high; on the contrary, Cesena 20-year-old Stefano Sensi is a credible option, but not for January. The rossoneri are also seeking an external midfielder and a backup for Giacomo Bonaventura, but also Palermo 26-year-old Franco Vazquez won’t be available before the end of the season. Finally, the only reinforcement for the offensive line will probably be Kevin-Prince Boateng, who is already training in Milan and is about to terminate his deal with Schalke.
Regarding the possible departures, two midfielders -19-year-old Jose Mauri and 22-year-old Suso- will definitely leave, the first one probably on loan. Important departures also for what concerns the defense, with Alex, Mexes and Zapata as main candidates, even though the situation of the Frenchman seems more uncertain.
