Arsenal 'lodge £26.3 million bid' for Barcelona's Turan

Arsenal have lodged a £26.3 million bid to bring Barcelona Ada Turan to the Emirates as midfielder is told he can leave the Nou Camp, Macca reports.

News is suggesting that Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is interested in the player, and the Gunners have been told that the Turkish international is free to join the club, despite having three years left on his contract with the La Liga giants.

Turan was bought to Barca from Atletico Madrid for a substantial €34 million, plus €7 million in variables in 2015.

Last season, the tricky midfielder appeared only 18 times in La Liga and scoring five goals.

In cup competitions, he appeared a further 12 times, netting another eight goals. Overall, Turan has played in 55 occasions for the Catalan side, in a period of two seasons.

They will have to put up a fight, though, as the 30-year-old has attracted the interested of other spectators too, with Inter Milan also reportedly in the hunt for the player.
