The arrival in London today of Tiemoue Bakayoko for his medical ahead of his big money move to Chelsea, looks to have signalled the end of Nemanja Matic’s time at Stamford Bridge. The Serbian international has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester United to reunite with his former boss Jose Mourinho but Italian transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio (via The Express) believes that there could be another twist in the tale.
 

It’s believed that Arsenal are ready to hijack any potential move from United and are ready to offer England star Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain in exchange for the 28-year-old. Matic has reportedly been training alone since the summer break and a departure from West London now looks imminent. Di Marzio writes that Arsenal are keen to take advantage of the situation and will use the 23-year-old Englishman as bait.
 

Oxlade-Chamberlain has also been linked with possible moves to both Liverpool and Manchester City in recent months as his own future at Arsenal remains uncertain.
