Atletico Madrid - Roma: Preview and projected lineups

In the second of two titanic Italian-Spanish Champions League matches, AS Roma will look to knock Atletico Madrid out of the premier competition and secure its place in the knockout round.

Atletico has been pitiful during this Champions League season, only managing three draws in four matches. A three points, they sit four behind Chelsea for the second and final Round of 16 spot available, and, with the Londoners taking on lowly Qarabag, will need to defeat the Giallorossi to keep their hopes alive.

On the flip side of the coin, Roma will be going to Spain in top form, having defeated rival Lazio this past weekend, and crushing Chelsea 3-0 in their previous Champions League match. At the top of their group with eight points, the Giallorossi control their destiny.

Here’s how the teams will line up at the Wanda Metropolitana tonight:

Atletico Madrid (4-4-2): Oblak; Juanfran, Godin, L. Hernandez, Filipe Luis; Saul, Gabi, Thomas Partey, Ferreira-Carrasco; Correa, Griezmann

Roma (4-3-3): Alisson; Peres, Jesus, Manolas, Kolarov; Strootman, Gonalons, Pellegrini; Gerson, Dzeko, Perotti
