Barcelona and Arsenal look to poach new Milan forward

Despite only playing in four Serie A matches, new Milan forward Andre Silva has reportedly garnered interest abroad. Amazingly, while he’s still hunting for his first Serie A goal, he may already be sold on in January. According to Corriere della Sport, the Portuguese international has been on both Barcelona and Arsenal’s radar.

Though he’s still looking for a breakthrough in Italy since he joined from Porto in July, Andre Silva’s prowess in European competition has raised eyebrows. In seven Europa League matches (including qualifiers) Andre Silva has netted six goals and added an assist.

For that reason, Arsene Wenger and Ernesto Valverde are looking at him for depth as they hope to make deep European runs this winter.

Losing Andre Silva in January could spell disaster for a Milan side struggling mightily to gain a foothold in their domestic competition. Pressure on manager Vincenzo Montella and the players has reached a boiling point with three consecutive Serie A losses. The funk was made even more difficult as they played to a scoreless draw against AEK Athens in Europa League yesterday.
