‘No need to thank Neymar’, says Barcelona star

Barcelona are set to face Juventus at the Allianz Stadium tomorrow and the blaugrana defender Jordi Alba has talked to Tuttosport ahead of the big Champions League clash.
“Juventus are not in crisis, we haven’t seen their last game, we’ve only saw a few videos. What I can say is that everybody can lose one game, they are a very solid side, their fans are demanding, they are Juventus, it will be a tough game.”

“I’m sorry for Buffon, he is the best goalkeeper in the history of football. I’m sorry he won’t play the World Cup. I’d like to swap shirts with him after the game tomorrow.”

As for Neymar, Jordi Alba was asked his thoughts on how Barcelona are doing without the Brazilian: “Ne don’t need to thank him, we are sorry for his departure because he is one of the best players in the world. I’m lucky to have played with him for four years, but that’s what football is about. If somebody leaves, whoever remains must do even more.”

“Now that he has left I have to run up and down the wing, it’s not a problem for me. Last year I didn’t play enough games after the 4-0 defeat to Psg. Now I am back among the regular starters.”
