Barcelona striker set for January exit

Celta Vigo have entered the race for Barcelona flop Paco Alcacer.

According to the latest reports from Onda Cero, the ailing Blaugrana striker could be interested in a return to a more conventional system suited to his strengths.

The 24-year-old moved to Barcelona in the summer of 2016 hoping to make the leap to a big club. He has, instead, found himself warming the bench, despite starting earlier this season under new Coach Ernesto Valverde.

Dropped from the game against Eibar last month, he has flattered to deceive this season, only playing 115 minutes.
With the massive MSN trio in front of him, he only started six games in the Liga last season, and things look to be going a similar way despite Ousmane Dembele’s long-term injury.

Though Maxi Gomez and Pione Sisto have started well, Celta could do with another signing to re-enter the top ten: they currently languish in 13th, albeit with a game in hand. For a side that made a deep Europa League run last season, more is expected.
