Barcelona: Valverde ‘prefers Neymar over Dybala’

New Barcelona boss Ernesto Valverde talked to media on Friday night ahead of the blaugrana friendly match against Juventus. The Spaniard was of course asked his thoughts about Neymar’s possible Barcelona exit and the former Athletic tactician did not seem too worried.

“Neymar is a Barcelona player”, he told assembled media.

“I understand there are many rumours during this time of the year but he is a player of Barcelona, he is working with us and we can talk to him on a daily basis.”

Juventus star Paulo Dybala is being linked with replacing the Brazilian at the Camp Nou but Valverde made it crystal clear who he would to coach.

“Of course he is a good player and everybody loves good players. If you ask me who I prefer, however, I always prefer my players over those of other teams.”

Neymar is said to be on the verge of joining Psg for a world-record fee of € 222 million.
