    Milik to Napoli: latest updates

UPDATE: Calciomercato.com has exclusively learned that Milik is really close to joining Napoli after that Ajax have accepted the partenopei’s € 25 million bid plus € 5 million bonus. Sources have also told calciomercato.com that the arrival of Milik does not exclude the signing of Icardi.

Milik has not been called for tonight’s Ajax Champions League play off clash against PAOK FC, another proof that the Polish hit-man is close to signing with last year’s Serie A runners up.

Arkadiusz Milik is close to joining Napoli. According to reliable Holland paper De Telegraaf, Ajax’s shareholders have accepted the partenopei’s € 35 million bid. Milik is thought to have visited Napoli’s training centre last month after Poland’s elimination from EURO 2016.

Milik was spotted at Napoli’s Capodichino airport last month, but his trip to the South of Italy was thought to be due to holidays that the Poland striker spent in the island of Ischia.

Napoli have just sold Gonzalo Higuain to Juventus that have met the Argentinean’s € 90 million release clause. The bianconeri can split the payment into two instalments which mean they have just paid € 45 million now, whilst they will pay the rest in one year time.

Juventus have just deposited Higuain’s contract.
