Breaking: Arsenal to miss out on Mahrez as Roma close to matching price-tag

Leicester City attacker Riyad Mahrez has been the subject of a lot of speculation over the past year but now it looks as if there is finally some movement, with Arsenal set to be missing out on their target and Serie A side Roma edging closer and closer towards a deal for the Algerian international – according to Italian Sky.

The Foxes recently rejected a bid of £23m for the winger but it is thought that a deal could be soon thrashed out, with the Midlands club receptive to an offer of around the £30m mark – with the inclusion of adds-ons in the deal – a running trend of transfer deals this summer window. This is a sum that Roma are thought it be agreeable with.

The 26-year-old was the heart of Leicester’s miraculous 2015-16 title winning campaign but he has since dropped down in level. Last season, Leicester could only manage mid-table obscurity, with a notable drop in form from Mahrez, who is looking for a way out of the club.
