Breaking: Chelsea legend signs one year deal with side
The former Blues centre-back played his last game with Chelsea last season as he announced that he would be leaving the club. Many were speculating to where the 36-year-old would spend the rest of his career, with rumours that he would take up a coaching role with his old club.
Other links suggested Midlands side Aston Villa would take up his services as they look to pull clear of the second tier of English football back to the Premier League.
And it has been confirmed today by Villa club owner Dr Tony Xia will indeed sign on for a £60,000-a-week deal with a £2m bonus should the side win promotion next season.
Terry spent 22 years with the Pensioners, winning a multitude of trophies including the Premier League, F.A Cup and Champions League.
