Breaking: Harry Kane not a Real Madrid transfer priority

Real Madrid are not looking for a striker in January, and Harry Kane is not one of their top targets, Marca reveal.

Recent speculation indicated that the Tottenham superstar - who has scored eleven goals in as many games in all competitions this season - was on the Merengues’ radar, and was considered a priority.

This was kind of confirmed by the fact that Karim Benzema wasted a few chances against the Lilywhites in midweek, and he was replaced by youth player Borja Mayoral when injured. Mayoral has played well so far, but a lot of speculation has centred around Mariano Diaz, who has been on fire since moving to Lyon.

Yet Madrid don’t have a cheap Recompra clause on the attacker (something revealed yesterday), and it appears that their opinion of him hasn’t changed. According to Marca, they didn’t see him as Champions League calibre in the summer, and still don’t.
