Breaking: Inter complete double €60m swoop for 16-year-old strikers

Inter are reported to have completed the signing of Genoa starlet Pietro Pellegri for €30 million. According to Sky Italia, the Serie A giants have stolen the talented 16-year-old striker from under Juventus and AC Milan noses with both clubs that were also interested in signing one of the most promising Italian strikers.

Pellegri netted his first Serie A goal against Roma in May, on the day of Totti’s farewell to football. Even before his first goal in Italy’s top flight, Pellegri was regarded as one of Italy’s most promising strikers.

Inter will sign Pellegri for € 15 million plus € 15 million add-ons and the player will remain on loan at Genoa for the next two seasons.

The nerazzurri have also completed the signing of Pellegri’s teammate Eddy Anthony Salcedo who has yet to make his first appearance in Serie A and will turn 16 in October. Inter will sign Salcedo for € 5 million plus € 25 million add-ons.

Bonuses and add-ons depend on how many appearances the two players will make in the next two seasons.

Inter and Genoa have also agreed that the grifone will have to sign one Inter player for € 5-6 million this summer with Puscas, Ranocchia, Biabiany and Maingue who are all being linked with moving to Genoa.
