With Italy prepared to play Sweden in the first leg of their World Cup playoff, Zaza, who’s been white hot in Spain with Valencia, was a likely option to start opposite Ciro Immobile. However, until tests on his knee are confirmed, Zaza’s no longer likely to take part in the match, and his status for the return leg is in doubt.
