    Chapecoense fined and penalized two points by Brazilian FA

    Twelve days after the terrible plane crash that killed the majority of footballers and coaching staff members of Brazilian club Chapecoense, there is incredible news coming from South America. The Brazilian FA have fined and penalized the club for not turning up for the last match of the Brazilian league.

    Chapecoense have been fined €30.000 and penalized two points for not taking part to their last league game against Atletico Mineiro, which were supposed to be their opponents and who did not show up for the league game either being handed the same punishments.

    Just three players of Chapecoense survived the tragic plane crash 12 days ago. The Brazilian team was travelling to Colombia where they should have played the 2016 South American Cup against Atletico Nacional. A dream come true for many footballers who were part of the team whose plane crashed in Colombia, close to Bogota leaving 71 dead.
