Chelsea: Ivanovic set to snub Barcelona & Inter offers to stay at Stamford Bridge

According to reports from Goal.com, Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic wants to remain at Stamford Bridge for another season. The 32-year-old is out of contract in the summer but despite recent stories linking him to a potential move to either Barcelona or Inter, the portal claims the Serbian international wants to agree a new short-term deal with the Blues.

Barcelona are looking for a replacement for Aleix Vidal who will be off-loaded in January and the Chelsea man was earmarked as a primary target. In recent days however, Serie A side Inter have also been mentioned as possible contenders to claim his signature.

Club policy at Stamford Bridge is to offer players over 30 one-year rolling contracts only which the player is thought to be in favour of. Ivanovic arrived in West London in 2008 from Lokomotiv Moscow and has made over 250 appearances for the club. He’s won two Premier League titles, a Champions League crown and three FA Cups during his time in the capital.
