Chelsea news: Dembele update, Barcelona defender targeted

The signings of Willy Caballero, Antonio Rudiger, Alvaro Morata and Tiemoue Bakayoko are not the only ones Chelsea will make this summer.

Antonio Conte wants more reinforcements, especially on the wings and Blues fans should expect some more new faces joining South West London this summer.

According to Spanish journalist José Luis Carazo, the Blues have set their sights on Barcelona defender Sergi Roberto who has a € 40 million release clause included in his contract. The Spaniard can leave Barcelona after the signing of Ruben Semedo and Chelsea are reportedly open to match his release clause.
Meantime, Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers has confirmed that Dembele will be leaving Celtic in the future although the former Liverpool manager expects the Frenchman to stay at the club this season.

"I think there will be a natural solution. I think there will be something at some point in his career here when there is an offer which is a sensible one for both parties. It's certainly nowhere that at this moment. He's a player we want to keep and, if anything ever did come in, we would assess it. I haven't put a price on what that would be. What I know is that he's a 21-year-old who is developing and growing and has all the qualities to play at the very highest level”, Rodgers said.
