Chelsea ponder 65 million move for Aubameyang

According to reports in The Sun this morning, Chelsea have been offered the chance to buy Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang for £65M. The Gabon international has been one of the biggest names in the transfer window so far this summer but his final destination remains uncertain.

Dortmund are ready to off-load the 28-year-old and there is strong interest coming from China. The journal states however, that the player himself prefers a move to the Premier League with Chelsea one of the clubs heavily linked with his services.
Blues boss Antonio Conte is searching for a replacement for Diego Costa and having missed out on Belgian frontman Romelu Lukaku who has joined Manchester United, Aubameyang has now headed towards the top of his wish-list.

Unfortunately for him, he’s not number one on that list with reports still stating that Real Madrid’s Alvaro Morata remains Conte’s number one choice. The 24-year-old looked likely to be heading to Old Trafford before Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho opted for Lukaku but is now believed to be ready to head out with the rest of the Real Madrid squad for their US tour.
