Man city loanee Ntcham stopped five times without a licence

Serie A seems to have another GTA enthusiast on its hands.

Manchester City loanee Olivier Ntcham has apparently been driving around Italy for over a year without a licence. In fact, it looks like he’s never had one.

The story begins last week, when he was stopped in Genoa’s Via Roma on Friday by the police, and ended up being fined 400 because he said he’d forgotten his licence at home, a version the police believed.

The local constabulary did a background check, however, and found that the 20-year-old midfielder had been caught on four more occasions, given the excuse, and got off with similarly light fines!

Ntcham is on his second loan spell to Genoa, joining the Italians in August 2015. He is seen by many as an exciting prospect, whose appearances, though limited, have seen him unleash powerful runs reminiscent of Marcelo Brozovic… only faster.

Further checks revealed that the City hopeful has never owned a licence, being caught in France with a fake Portuguese licence!

The youngster can now expect a heavy fine, one that could reach 30k… and a lengthy trial, seeing as he’s a bit of a recidivist.

A promising talent, Ntcham joins M’Baye Niang in the Serie A Drivers Hall of Fame, his French compatriot having lied about his identity when he was stopped without a licence back in 2014.

He had claimed, in fact, that he was team-mate Bakaye Traore!
