Everton still confident on Malaga striker deal despite Real Madrid interest

Everton are still gunning for Malaga striker Sandro Ramirez despite other interest from Real Madrid, according to Who Scored.

The Toffee’s manager Ronald Koeman has been one of the most active Premier League managers so far this window, but it looks as if the Dutchman is not prepared to stop there, with 21-year-old Ramirez still remaining on his hit-list.

A deal was thought to be struck last month when the Under-21 international agreed personal terms with the Merseyside club, but that was cast into uncertainty when Spanish radio Onda Cero reported that La Liga giants Real Madrid had come in and also agreed personal terms.

This, though, was denied by Real president Florentino Perez, who was also on the radio channel at the time.

Everton may face the issue of having their star man Romelu Lukaku leave their side this window, so they will want to hedge their bets and make sure the right deal is in place of the best possible striker.
