Exclusive: AC Milan consider January swoop for Barcelona man

AC Milan star Andrea Conti picked up a serious knee injury in September and will be forced out of the pitch for the next six months at least.

Conti is regarded as one of the cornerstones of the new rossoneri squad and his injury represents a huge blow for the diavoli who are now looking for potential opportunities in the January transfer window.

According to our reporter in Milan Daniele Longo the rossoneri executives are considering signing Barcelona right-back Aleix Vidal who has had several highs and lows since his arrival at the Camp Nou in summer 2015.

The 28-year-old has two goals and seven appearances in all competitions so far this season and although Ernesto Valverde has been playing him during the last few games, AC Milan hope the blaugrana will be persuaded to sell the Spaniard for a fee around € 15 million.

Vidal is not a regular Barcelona starter and AC Milan hope to seal the player’s transfer on the cheap. Talks with the La Liga giants have yet to begin but Vidal is one of those players AC Milan have shortlisted to replace Conti in January.
