Exclusive: AC Milan don't consider Deulofeu their top priority anymore

Serie A giants AC Milan now don't see Gerard Deulofeu as a priority for the upcoming summer transfer window.

Deulofeu enjoyed a thoroughly impressive loan spell at the rossoneri in the second half of the 2016-17 campaign, but left Everton to join Barcelona. From the club he is the youth product of, Watford signed him and the Spaniard has been a crucial player for the Hornets.

We understand that while Leonardo really likes the player that Deulofeu is, Milan don't see him as a priority as they feel there are other players they can sign instead of him.

Deulofeu likes Milan and would want to play for them again and the rossoneri have a gentleman's agreement in place with the Pozzo family that if they make a suitable offer, Watford will let Deulofeu go.

The price in question would be 40 million euros but Leonardo seems to have other ideas now. They would want to spend that much fee if only they qualify for the UEFA Champions League.
