Exclusive: Gattuso could take over Serie A club, but it’s not Milan

Gennaro Gattuso has been in the headlines a lot recently. With Milan struggling to impress in Serie A under Vincenzo Montella, the rumour mill has been awash with reports that the Rossoneri legend could take over at his club.

Currently Milan’s Primavera Coach, Ringhio could end up sitting on another bench, despite the fact that Montella is still in trouble after losing to Genoa, Roma, Inter, Lazio and Juventus.

The bench in question? That of Sassuolo, whose owner, Giorgio Squinzi, is a known Milan fan, and previously tried to recruit Filippo Inzaghi. The situation is dire in Emilia, where Christian Bucchi has struggled to replace Eusebio Di Francesco, who is now making miracles in Rome.

With the Neroverdi playing poorly and unable to get our of their slump (or to get the most out of Domenico Berardi), a change could be on the cards. And the former Rangers player could be the man to end the Mapei Nightmare.
