Calciomercato exclusively understand that Barcelona director of football Eric Abidal personally held a meeting with Todibo to convince his compatriot to join the Catalan side at the end of the season, despite the player having a verbal agreement with Juventus.
The bianconeri had been active in the negotiations for Todibo over the last few weeks and the player had assured that he will join Juventus, not Napoli. But he never excluded joining a foreign club.
Fabio Paratici was working on finding an agreement with Todibo, until Barcelona stepped in and Abidal held talks with the player, his entourage and his family.
