Exclusive: Inter chase Liverpool, Juventus target instead of Nainggolan

Inter have found an alternative to Radja Nainggolan, we can exclusively reveal.

Federico Albrizio reports that while the Chelsea target is new Coach Luciano Spalletti’s forbidden fruit, the Nerazzurri have found another Roma midfielder who could do just fine: Leandro Paredes.

Liverpool were linked to Paredes, who has struggled to break through at Roma, back in March, with talk that the Reds were interested in making a summer bid.

Juventus have also been talking to the Argentine’s agent for a year, but they seem to be focussing more on Steven N’Zonzi.

The 22-year-old has only started fifteen Serie A games this season, ending up behind Kevin Strootman, Nainggolan and Daniele De Rossi. With Eusebio Di Francesco set to take over, Roma are also going to favour new midfielder Lorenzo Pellegrini, who was at Sassuolo with the Coach.

Spalletti was brought back from Empoli last summer, having starred at the Franchi stadium. He was signed in 2015 for € 4.5 million from Boca Juniors.

Spalletti likes Paredes, as does technical co-ordinator (and fellow former Roma man) Walter Sabatini, though Roberto Mancini also wants the Argentine for his Zenit St Petersburg team.
