EXCLUSIVE: Inter’s Joao Mario deal in danger of collapse

Inter are interested in signing Portuguese star Joao Mario who featured as one of the best players of the entire tournament at EURO 2016.

Trouble is, the nerazzurri can’t complete the player’s signing due to the rules imposed by FFP. The Serie A club are planning to buy the player through Suning and loan him from the Chinese club afterwards.
The Chinese transfer window, however, shut down today and Suning are running out of time to sign the Sporting Lisbon ace.

Sources have told calciomercato.com that the player’s agent Kia Joorbchian and middle-man Pini Zahavi met the Portuguese club yesterday failing to reach any sort of agreement. Sporting Lisbon had initially asked € 60 million for the 23-year-old midfielder before lowering the player’s price-tag to € 45 million.

Suning have offered € 35 million plus € 5 million of bonuses and don’t seem open to add one more penny which means the deal is on the brink of collapse, though the Chinese club can still try to sign him until midnight.
