Exclusive: Juve closing in on Arsenal man as Neto joins Valencia

Juventus second-choice goalkeeper is having his medical with Valencia ahead of his € 9 million move to the Mestalla. The La Liga side will pay € 7 million plus € 2 million in bonuses and Juventus have already identified their replacement for Neto.

It is widely knwon that the Old Lady has already reached an agreement with former Roma star Szczesny who is contracted with Arsenal until 2018.

Juventus’ opening bid was rejected by the Gunners last month but according to our transfer pundit Fabrizio Romano, Neto’s Valencia switch should boost negotiations between the two clubs.

Arsenal’s asking price for Szczesny is € 15 million but Juventus are not open to spend as much.

The Serie A giants have already agreed a € 4 million-a-year deal with the Poland star and executives of the Italian club are hopeful that an agreement with Arsenal can be reached in the coming days. Szczesny is expected to become Juventus first-choice keeper once Gigi Buffon retires next season.
