EXCLUSIVE Juventus to bring Bentancur to Italy through Empoli?

Our sources indicate that Juventus are to use Empoli to further pursue Rodrigo Bentancur, and that the Boca Juniors star won’t be the only player to be swapped by the two teams.

Following a very unfortanate injury - which is set to cost him a four-month layoff- Rolando Mandragora will likely need a club where he can find space come January, and Empoli just happen to have a squad that seems unfit for the task of staying up.

Mandragora played well for Pescara last season before being snapped up by the Bianconeri, attracting the interest of Sassuolo and the Dolphins last summer.

His name may crop up again now that the Tuscans have expressed their total availability in bringing in Bentancur in tandem with the Bianconeri.

Boca Juniors were tempted by Real Madrid’s previous offer - orchestrated by Jorge Mendes - but will have to abide by the unwritten agreement they have with Juventus, stipulated during the Carlos Tevez deal.

Real, for their part, have found themselves forbidden to bring in players anyway.
