Exclusive: Man City send scouts to watch €25m Roma star
The player only returned to Roma from Sassuolo in the summer and has already demonstrated why he was so highly sought after to return to base by both Roma and former Sassuolo coach Di Francesco. Di Francesco clearly trusts him and it is evident as Pellegrini helped to dominate AC Milan at the San Siro over the weekend.
According to our sources Manchester City sent a scout to watch the classy midfielder in their game against Verona and will once again be in the stands in future games. Pep Guadiola is well aware of his qualities and sees his potential as a future star.
Roma however have no intention of letting their prized asset leave after only just returning. Pellegrini has a release clause of 25 million euros which could easily be activated by City.
Roma will hate to lose such a talented player who suits their coach’s formation and needs.
