Exclusive: Milan, ask for information for Villareal striker

Amidst all the differing transfer stories regarding Milan’s summer striker strategy, there is CM exclusive news that the Rossoneri club have approached Spanish club Villareal for information on their Italian second striker Nicola Sansone. In a meeting today with his agent Tullio Tinti, it appears the list for potential incoming attackers still has room for growth. The 25 year old contributed 8 goals and 4 assists for the Yellow Submarines club that finished fifth.

With Carlos Bacca almost certainly on his way out, Milan directors desperately search for a replacement. Belotti and Morata were said to be at the top of their list, but both are extremely pricey and could involve a bidding war with a major club (perhaps Man U for Morata). In past weeks Papu Gomez was mentioned as a possibility, along with his Atalanta teammate Petagna. Now turning their attention to Spain, the Milan horizons broaden with every passing week. Indeed they will want the most efficient purchase, and perhaps Sansone represents a good middle ground for them.
