Exclusive: Nice open talks with Juve over a move for veteran defender

Dani Alves and Lichtsteiner won’t be the only defenders leaving Juventus in the summer. Sources have told Calciomercato.com that Stefan Lichtsteiner is also going to leave the Allianz Stadium after a six-year spell in Turin.

The Swiss defender joined Juventus in 2011 and signed a one-year contract extension with the Old Lady this past January.

The 33-year-old has one year left in his contract with Juventus and Inter had made a secret attempt to sign him. The Serie A giants, however, do not want to sell the former Lazio star to another Serie A club and are only considering a sale abroad.

Our reporter from Turin Nicola Balice reveals OGC Nice are interested in signing the experienced right-back as they are looking to strengthen their defensive department.
Talks between the two clubs are ongoing with the Ligue 1 giants that have identified Lichtsteiner as the best replacement for Ricardo Pereira who has made return to Porto after his one-year loan spell in South France.
