EXCLUSIVE Romano: Arsenal sent scout to watch Inter loanee Eloge Yao

Arsenal have set sights on Inter loanee Eloge Yao, though the Gunners have yet to make an opening offer to sign the 20-year-old defender.

Yao has played 30 games and scored one goal with Serie B side Crotone this season and his solid performances in the heart of the ‘squali’ defensive line have helped his side to earn their first promotion to Serie A.

As CM.com transfer pundit Fabrizio Romano reports, Arsenal have scouted the talented defender many times this season, Inter know the Premier League side are interested in signing the player, even if, as we previously mentioned, no official offers have been put on the table by the Gunners.

On the one hand, the nerazzurri will try to secure the player’s future at the San Siro offering him a contract extension.

On the other hand, Crotone are also working to extend the Yao’s loan deal for one more season. Alternatively, they could sign the player to a permanent deal now, with Inter that would be entitled to exercise a buy-back clause in the next campaign.

Niccolò Barella, Ante Budimir and Frank Kessie are three more Serie B players Inter are monitoring.
