Fassone: AC Milan will need to sell if they fail to land CL spot

Marco Fassone claims that Milan will need to sell if they can’t reach the Champions League next season.

Though Serie A will go back to qualifying four teams last season, something which appeared very possible after the Rossoneri spent over 200 million this summer on players like Leonardo Bonucci and Franck Kessie.

That said, they lie in seventh place after losing three of their opening seven games, including a miserable 2-0 collapse to the lowly likes of Genoa.

Speaking in a press conference today, Fassone said that “not qualifying for the Champions League wouldn’t be dramatic, because I presented plans to UEFA which also took into consideration a failed qualification.

“But having forty million more would be… (smiles) positive, and would allow us to not have to think about selling a player”.

The Rossoneri’s managing director also claims that “Juventus and Napoli are stronger than the others, and our race for the Top 4 will be against Roma, Inter and Lazio”.
