Gabigol: ‘I didn’t flop at Inter’

Former Inter star Gabigol talked to A Bola to discuss his time at Benfica so far this season as well as his previous campaign at Inter.

The Brazilian could only manage one goal in ten appearances with the Serie A giants last season and the nerazzurri loaned him out to Benfica in the summer.

The former San Paolo star, however, does not believe he flopped at Inter last season.

“I am happy at Benfica and I don’t want to leave. My permanence here, however, does not completely depend on me. I could return to Inter at the end of the season but it is up to the clubs. What I can do now is work hard and try to help Benfica.”

“If we analyze the games I did last season it’s clear that I didn’t have enough time to prove my qualities. It’s hard to show your skills if you only play ten games. I wouldn’t say I flopped at Inter. It’s hard for a new player to settle in well in Europe. I am still very young.”
