The German international is worried about missing out on next year’s World Cup in Russia, and has opened to a move away from Paris in January, and has let the club know as much.

Though Alphonse Areola has yet to convince PSG that he can be the man in the long term, he is considered superior to the German, according to Marca.

"As far as the World Cup is concerned, I absolutely have to be playing," Trapp recently said according to Marca, "I do not know if I will play for PSG in the domestic cups, we have not spoken about that yet. If I am not going to play, I will need to think."

The former Eintracht goalkeeper has flattered to deceive in Paris, and was particularly poor late last season against Barcelona, losing Unai Emery’s confidence in the process.

The German added: "I will do everything to go to the World Cup. However, it is complicated for me right now. I am working each day to be ready. I really need to play because the national team coach has insisted that I need to be performing with my club.

"I need to ask myself questions, reflect and speak with the club. However, for now, I am at PSG and not Dortmund or anywhere else. My head is with PSG, I have a five-year contract and I am going to give everything."
