Giuseppe Rossi made his return to Serie A last night

Giuseppe Rossi overcame the longest of odds last night when he stepped on the pitch for the first time since rupturing his ACL for the fourth time.

Desperately needing a pair of goals against Juventus on Wednesday night, Genoa turned to their newest addition for the final 13 minutes. Though the Italian-American did not lift his club to a miracle victory, he achieved a personal one, which is arguably more important in the grand scheme.

Here’s to hoping he has a long, successful, and healthy return to Serie A!
