Grujic confirms: ‘Inter contacted me’
Chelsea are also reported to be interested in the player, but the Nerazzurri seem to be the closest to sign him.
Talking to the Italian website FcInternews.it, Grujic confirmed that Inter’s assistant coach and legendary player Dejan Stankovic recently contacted him.
“Deki [Stankovic’s nickname] is simply a living legend”, the 20-year-old told the journalists.
“I met him at the end of one game. He told me that I have to carry on working hard and he promised me that one day we would have talk about my future. He said that we have to keep in touch.”
Despite the media have already labeled Grujic as the “New Matic”, he was asked whether he could be compared to the Nerazzurri target Andrea Pirlo.
“I think I am more similar to Paul Pogba. He is my favorite player. Pirlo and Stankovic are also two central midfielders, but I am a bit more offensive than them.”
