'Guardiola approves Ancelotti successor' Bayern reveal

Shortly there will be an announcement on the success to Carlo Ancelotti's successor at Bayern Munich. As reported by Sky Deutschland, yesterday Pep Guardiola (who was in Germany to participate in the Oktoberfest) dined in Munich with Uli Hoeness.

The Bavarian president asked the Manchester City and ex Bayern coach on his opinion on the various candidates to select to take over from Carlo Ancelotti. The two have remained on good terms since his departure and - as witnessed by the German journalist Chris Lymberopoulos - they met at an Italian restaurant in Munich.

"I told Guardiola who we will be in the coming days as a coach and he has agreed with our decision," Hoeness said.
Unless there is major disapproval Bayern will appoint Thomas Tuchel, former coach of Mainz and Borussia Dortmund. Bayern also carefully evaluated the nominations of Luis Enrique and Van Gaal, but the favourite to pick up where Ancelotti left is undoubtedly Tuchel.
