Higuain: Juventus to enter transfer talks with Napoli after reaching agreement with player

Juventus have set sights on Gonzalo Higuain. That’s arguably the transfer news of the week. CM.com had previously revealed that EXOR has given the green light to make a huge investment to bring the Argentinean at the J Stadium in the summer.

Juventus want at least one new striker. Morata has made his return to Madrid, Zaza could be heading to Wolfsburg.

Higuain’s agent and brother Nicolas said Higuain is not going to extend his stay at Napoli and calciomercato.com has exclusively learned that the player’s release clause expired at the end of June, which means Juventus will have to negotiate the player’s transfer fee with Napoli.

The Old Lady has yet to enter transfer talks with their direct title rivals but they are rumoured to have already reached agreement with the player.

According to gianlucadimarzio.com, Juventus have offered the player a € 7.5 million, four-year-deal and the player has agreed to move to the J Stadium.

The Old Lady could propose to Napoli a player-plus cash swap deal (€ 75 million plus Roberto Pereyra or Daniele Rugani, for example) or they could even pay what used to be the player’s release fee.

Sky Italia is also reporting that Higuain might not be joining his teammates for the pre-season training camp. Higuain is currently on holiday in Ibiza and Napoli expect to see him on the pitch between the 23rd and 25th of July.

The adventure of Gonzalo Higuain at Napoli can be considered finished. But will he really move to Juventus?
