Japanese ace Keisuke Honda claimed he wanted to join Lazio and was disappointed that the transfer from CSKA Moscow didn’t go ahead.

“I must admit that my desire was to join Lazio,” said Honda.

However, the Biancocelesti couldn’t match CSKA’s demands so Honda could not move to Serie A.

“It’s too late now, I am a CSKA player and I will do my best to help the team. I cannot wait to get back in the game,” concluded Honda, who is currently injured.
