‘How Conte became a winner’
Kutuzov, who is now 37, has revealed the secret behind Conte’s success.
“You could tell Conte had all you needed to become a winning coach. He was almost living with us. Every morning he asked us how we were and it was clear he wanted to have success. He had so much footballing experience.”
“When he was at Bari Ventrone was his fitness coach. His trainings were so hard they we had to go beyond our limits.”
“I think Conte and [Italy coach] Ventura are very similar. When Conte was appointed as Bari coach I felt like I was doing the same thing I had done the year before with Ventura at Pisa. I’ve learned a lot from both managers.”
Kutuzov has also talked about his former teammate Andrea Masiello who was banned for a few months for match fixing and is now back to action with Atalanta. “When I see him playing I turn the TV off”, Kutuzov, a former teammate of Masiello said.
