I’ve never wanted to leave Milan – Niang

Milan striker M’Baye Niang attended a charity event in Milan today. The 21-year-old was asked about his injury, Milan’s objective for this season and the offer Premier League side Leicester FC made to sign him this past January.

“I am feeling good, medics are doing the best they can and I’ll try to recover as soon as possible. It’s lot of us in the team anyway, so if I won’t be there for our next game, there’ll be someone else, no problem.”

“We’ve done our best to seal victory against Udinese, especially in the second half. They also played a good game.”

Milan will face Genoa this weekend and Niang has arguably had the best time of his career at the Marassi so far.

“It’ll be not a fundamental game, but we have to win it, because we have to qualify for Europe. I’ll be always grateful to Genoa because they gave me the chance of expressing my best self.”

“By the way, if I’ll play on Sunday I’ll give my best for Milan.

People thought I had signed with Leicester already, but lot of false things have been said. I’ve never wanted to leave Milan. It is the team I wanted to play in since the beginning of this season.”

“Juventus and Napoli are playing their own league, but I hope that Pogba will win the game.”
