Inter eye Man City and Chelsea defenders: one may arrive in January, the other one in the summer

Inter are looking for defence reinforcement in the January window and a couple of Premier League centre-backs are being linked with a move to the San Siro in the winter transfer window.

According to today’s edition of Tuttosport, the nerazzurri have made contact to sign Manchester City centre-back Eliaquim Mangala who is being struggling with game time at the Etihad Stadium and may leave Pep Guardiola’s side on loan in January.
Inter are long time admirers of the Frenchman, so much so they also tried to sign the defender in the summer.

Manchester City, however, refused to sell him and Inter are likely to make a new attempt as soon as the next summer transfer window begins.

Inter’s director Piero Ausilio, however, is a long time admirer of Chelsea defender Andreas Christensen. Inter did also try to sign him last summer but Antonio Conte blocked the exit of the talented centre-back.

Calciomercato.com has exclusively learned that the Premier League giants won’t sell Christensen in January as Conte wants him to stay in South West London. Things, however, may change in the summer as the future of Conte remains up in the air. Inter are aware that the Denmark International won't leave Chelsea in the winter transfer window but dream of signing the 21-year-old at the end of the season.
