Inter fans want PSG star Verratti ahead of Sanchez, James Rodriguez
Those Inter fans among CM’s readers want Marco Verratti to be the club’s priority signing.
We published a survey yesterday asking Nerazzurri Nation who they thought should be their team’s next reinforcement.
Though the January window may be complicated because of Financial Fair Play issues, the Beneamata now has new owners Suning, whose financial backing could well lead to major spending next summer, when Inter’s current FFP deal with UEFA ends.
PSG star Marco Verratti won out, and it wasn’t even close, the Italian collecting 58% of the vote, ahead of Marquinhos (11%) and Real Madrid wantaway James Rodriguez (8%).
All three beat Alexis Sanchez to the punch, despite the Chilean being a more impactful player than the entire podium, only taking home a measly 7% of votes.
In truth, the Nerazzurri have a number of problems, but attack is not one of them: voting for Verratti says a lot about the state of the Beneamata’s midfield, as does all the appreciation for Marquinhos, surely an instant upgrade over Jeison Murillo.
