Inter to make 50 million move for Bayern Munich midfielder
According to reports in La Gazzetta dello Sport (via Calciomercato.com), Inter are ready to offer Bayern Munich €50M for Chilean midfielder Arturo Vidal. The 30-year-old former Juventus star is one of the high-profile names that Nerazzurri chiefs want to bring to the club this summer and having seen their city rivals Milan spend over €200M so far this transfer window, they intend to make Vidal a priority target.
There is a huge stumbling block however, and that’s the fact that his current employers are ready to open talks on a new contract in Bavaria which could scupper any plans Inter Sporting Director Piero Ausilio has of bringing the player back to Serie A.
Bayern boss Carlo Ancelotti is a huge admirer of Vidal and plans to make him a fundamental part of his team next term. Inter meanwhile, also look set to bring in Senegalese frontman Keita Balde from Lazio with an agreement understood to be close.
