Inter put midfield duo up for sale and pounce on Chelsea targets

New Inter boss Luciano Spalletti has had his first meeting with representatives of Inter to lay out the club’s transfer plans for the summer. The Italian was officially announced as the nerazzurri new coach yesterday and he has already urged the club to register the first signings of the summer transfer window.

According to a report of Sky Spalletti has told Gary Medel and Ever Banega that they are not part of his plans at Inter. Representatives of both players have been told to look for a new club because they won’t be given any game time at the San Siro next season.

Meantime, Spalletti has named two Chelsea targets as possible defence reinforcements. The Italian’s priority is to land Roma’s Antonio Rudiger who, however, costs € 50 million. Chelsea are also being linked with a move for the German who is not the only centre-back in Inter’s shopping list.

Ajax starlet Davinson Sanchez is also being shortlisted, but being a non-EU player, Inter want to consider every possible alternative before making an offer for the promising centre-half.

Spalletti has also decided that he does not want Eder to leave the club as the Italian can cover several positions up front, whilst the nerazzurri have reportedly cooled their interest in Berardi and Bernardeschi given that the likes of Julian Brandt and Lucas Moura are more appreciated by Spalletti than the Serie A duo.
